There's an inflammatory situation in Emmerdale this week, when Laurel finds herself in a life-threatening situation at the village bonfire night. The drama unfolds when an ember accidentally lands on her coat, setting it on fire. Bunny-boiler Sally sees what happens but, rather than running to the rescue, she decides to keep quiet.
Eventually Marlon realises that Laurel's in imminent danger of going up in flames and immediately shouts out a warning. Spotting an opportunity to win brownie points from Ashley, scheming Sally then races to Laurel's aid, throwing her coat over her to put the flames out.
Later, as a shaken Laurel recovers at home, she has no idea the incident has given Sally an idea about how she can split up the Thomases once and for all.
Elsewhere, nasty Nathan continues to turn the screws on Leyla. Having been forced into claiming she was driving the car that a drunken Nathan crashed last week, the shop girl had hoped they were quits – but Nathan wants an action replay of their one-night stand. Ewww!
